Why should you drink green tea?

Green tea may be a powerful medicine against cancer and dementia. Scientists at Newcastle University (UK) were surprised to discover that compounds in green tea, once entering the intestines, protect cells from attack by foreign objects. Specifically, green tea fights toxins that cause brain damage and helps cancer cells divide. “What’s interesting about this study is that once green tea is digested by enzymes in the intestines, the chemicals produced from this process fight off the agents that cause Alzheimer’s disease,” according to news site express.co.uk. Said Ed Okella, a member of the research team.
